Hello everyone,
does anyone have any info. on/have done the mod to enable you to have 2WD Lo? There's a way to do it by putting a switch in the signal wire that runs to the air actuator for the front diff. Apparently there's a black box near the switch for the brake pedal but i have no clue really what I'm looking for. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Can someone take a picture of this box and send it to me?

Dan

Hi Dan Wink

It' behind the front bumper, you'll find a little pump that pushes air into the air-actuated front diff... it's not a locker as some seem to think, it's the way Suzuki did the "free wheeling hubs" on the GV... i.e. the front wheels aren't driving the diff when on the road, it's only when you stick the transfer box into four wheel drive that the pump blows air into the diff to inflate the actuators that push the driveshafts into "drive"...

Hope that helps? Wink

Fitting manual freewheeling hubs from a Vitara or coil sprung sierra will give you 2WD low if you leave them unlocked.

P.S: Welcome back Dave Very Happy

They certainly do fit! I've got a pair of hubs from a coily sierra on mine.

It took about 10 minutes to swap them.
